Health & Fitness

We teach Muay Thai and incorporate a fantastic multi-functional routine where you can get fit, tone up your body, help your mental health and lose unwanted weight if that's your goal and this is ALL NON CONTACT.

No Contact

All Waterford Muay Thai fitness classes are no contact. You will train on bags situated around the gym and at times with partners, taking turns and using pads for striking practice.

All Experience

Our Muay Thai classes are designed suit for all levels of experience. Whether you've tried Muay Thai before or you've never thrown a punch, our setup and routines will allow you to enjoy developing your skills at your own pace.

Self Defense

Learn an excellent form of self defense in a no-contact friendly environment that supports the development of your skill level for people of all ages, experience and fitness.

Our Classes

Waterford Muay Thai classes are designed to increase fitness and well-being while learning a useful and effective self defense. Muay Thai is an excellent form of fitness training with high-intensity  cardio that will burn fat and tone muscles in a fun, safe and friendly environment. Classes are guided by our professional coaches and each student can increase their skill and training intensity at their own pace.

ADULT CLASSES

Our Adult Classes are open to over 18 Males and Females.

Adult classes start with a great warm up to get you moving. You will then be designated a punch bag and be taught how to throw a series of techniques.

We can also pair people up and do pad work. Pad work is a really fun way to try out different techniques without any contact, while their partner holds the pads. After a period of time your partner will throw the same techniques while you hold the pads.

No two nights are the same so you will not get bored. We finish every class with brilliant abdominal exercise and lots of stretching.

All classes last one hour.

LADIES CLASSES

Ladies Classes are delivered in the same way as Adult classes but are for Ladies only. 

Ladies classes start with a great warm up to get you moving. You will then be designated a punch bag and be taught how to throw a series of techniques.

We can also pair people up and do pad work. Pad work is a really fun way to try out different techniques without any contact, while their partner holds the pads. After a period of time your partner will throw the same techniques while you hold the pads.

No two nights are the same so you will not get bored. We finish every class with brilliant abdominal exercise and lots of stretching.

All classes last one hour.

KIDS CLASSES

Our Kids classes incorporate a range of fitness exercises along with very effective self defence coordinated routines.

Our coaches are friendly and supportive to kids at all stages as they progress in skill level. Our team focus on encouragement, motivation and self-belief by helping kids to learn and do their best, developing at their own pace.

We instill the importance of manners, respect and work ethic to all children.

All classes last 50 mins.

Muay Thai or Thai Boxing is the national sport and cultural martial art of Thailand. It was developed several hundred years ago as a form of close-combat that utilizes the entire body as a weapon.

At Waterford Muay Thai our training is non-contact and is suitable for males, females and kids. We offer adult classes, ladies classes, kids classes, and special needs classes.

No experience needed. Beginners are always welcome.

€5 for under 18 years of age and €7 for adults.

Pay when you come in to train before the class starts.

No need to pre-book.

No, just come along to any class that suits you.

No contract whatsoever. Please attend classes as and when you like.

SAFETY

No, all classes are non-contact fitness class.

Absolutely not, we have the highest safety standards.

We supply boxing gloves, that is all you will need.

If you have your own gear then by all means bring it. Shorts and t shirt are suitable. We can supply gloves if you do not have your own.

Kids are totally safe training in our purpose-built Martial arts fitness gym.

You can of course if you wish too, once you have learned the proper techniques.

Yes, please bring a partner or friend or tell a friend about us.

Yes all our classes are set and remain the same all year round.
